POM PON:
We've pruned to expose the key stems of these
plants, leaving the foilage to grow in tufts at each stem tip. These
foilage tufts are called pom pons. Each stem may have more than
one pom pon and each pom pon foilage tuft can be shaped into a
globe, square, or any other shape that you desire. The two main
forms are the horizontal pompon, and the upright pompon. The
horizontal form has multiple stems branching at ground level,
while the upright form has one main trunk, with side stems coming
off at various heights. These unique plants need to be pruned once
or twice a year. They add a very oriental feel to any landscape
becoming more beautiful as each year passes. They are truly
works of pruning art!
