Iris

 

Iris generally prefer full sun. Iris pseudoacorus, and Iris versicolor will tolerate part shade as well.

Iris thrive in well drained garden soils with good fertility. The aquatic species will tolerate wet soils.

Crested Iris prefer part sun to part shade. (Wisconsin native woodland plant)
